30th Anniversary Celebration

The world knows how to stop and celebrate. Every year, we see award shows like the Grammys, the Oscars, the Emmys, the People's Choice Awards, and many more. They all take time to reflect back on the year and reward those who have done an exceptional job. As Christians, however, I don't think we are very good at stopping and celebrating. We rush off to the next event or program, and fail to stop and thank God for what He has done. That is why we held the recent Master's Foundation 30th Anniversary Banquet.

On Saturday, March 28, over 100 people met at the Trident Banquet Hall to stop and celebrate what God has done through the Master's Foundation in the past 30 years of ministry in Ukraine. The founders, Stan and Henry Watrich, were quick to give God all the glory for what He has accomplished.

The evening was an awesome celebration. We ate lots, we laughed, cried, rejoiced, and most importantly, God received all the glory for using Master's in the wonderful country of Ukraine. We were entertained by Miroslava Zin on the Bandura (a folk string instrument) and by Barvinok, an awesome group of young Ukrainian dancers. Mark Watrich (Stan's son) created a celebratory video of the last 30 years of Master's work. You can check out the video on the Master's Foundation website (www. mastersfoundation.org) or on our Facebook page. We also took time to honour long time partners of Master's. The finale was our guest speaker from Ukraine, Pastor Anatoliy Prokhar. It was an incredible evening. The only regret was not having held a celebration banquet sooner.

The Master's Foundation wants to thank all the faithful partners that have stood with us over the years. Without your partnership in prayer and in sending funds, we would have not been able to accomplish anything. Words do not adequately express our gratitude, but please know that we are so grateful for you and your part in our 30 years of ministry.

As we look to the future, we know that Ukraine is in greater need than ever of God's help and intervention. We will continue to walk alongside the pastors, the orphans, the widows, the prisoners, and the hurting of Ukraine. The Lord has called Master's Foundation to be a blessing, and with your help and God's anointing the next 30 years will be even greater than the former.
